3D Academy: CAD Vex Training (Part 2)

Two weeks ago we told you about the workshop being held at a local middle school by 3D Academy. (As a refresher, 3D Academy was facilitating 3D CAD training for middle school students so that they could then integrate it with their VEX Robotics competitions.)

The Project: Students design their own nozzle for a class Aquaponics system to provide better aeration and address other flow problems.  Using Computer Aided Design (CAD), students were able to create a nozzle design in 3D.  After completing their initial design, they used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to analyze and refine their designs according to the hypotheses that they generated.

We would like to thank all of the student participants for their hard work. It was great working with you!
