3D Innovations Can Reduce Your Prototyping Costs

Collin Kobayashi gave a presentation last week at the Inventors Club in Honolulu at the Manoa Innovation Center (MIC), and below are some key points that were discussed regarding the deign and prototyping phases.

1. 3D Printing/Rapid Prototyping is integrated into the design process for:

  • Testing Form, Fit, and Function
  • Reducing tooling costs
  • Reducing prototyping costs
  • Utilizing 3D digital prototyping (CAD)
  • Decreasing production time by 300 – 500% and getting products to market faster
Reducing tooling costs and reducing prototyping costs can save your company money!

2. There is a big difference between building a “Conceptual” prototype and a “Functional” prototype.  Contact us at info@3d-innovations.com to learn about the differences and to see if you have been going in the right direction.

3. See how 3D Printing/Rapid Prototyping is used for more than just creating prototypes.  It can also be used for production quality parts.

Really a nice meter of this post.I read your post. Thanks for share your post with us.

I loved seeing your eihibxt at Maker Faire, your product looks great.I’m a bit confused though, at the Faire you were really demonstrating the CNC milling and routing capabilities of your machine. On the Kickstarter page you really push the 3D printing. Are you still planning full support for milling & routing? Thanks.

It was great to meet you!Yes we are still proceeding fowrard with our Rapid Prototyping Mill. The Kickstarter campaign initially is to launch our universal extruder for all 3D printers. We will be posting a second campaign when the R.P.M. is ready!
